Prof. Bhaskar’s areas of specialisation are Modulation and Coding for Mobile Communications and Signal Processing. His research works are in the fields of Wireless Communication Networks, Design and Implementation Modulation of Wireless Local Loop Systems Audio and Video Compression.

He is one of the founding members of the TeNeT Group of IIT Madras and actively involved in developing telecom and networking technologies and incubating companies to develop and market products based on these. He is currently the Honorary Director of the Centre of Excellence in Wireless Technology, a public - private initiative at the IIT-M Research Park to make India a leader in wireless technology.

He is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering and received the Vasvik Award for Electronic Sciences and Technology and the Tamil Nadu Scientist Award for Engineering and Technology for the years 2000 and 2003 respectively. Prof Bhaskar is also a member of many renowned professional bodies such as National Frequency Allocation Review Committee 2001, QoS Specifications Committee of TRAI for ILD VoIP Services and Sectional Committee of INAE

Dr. Ashok Jhunjhunwala has been awarded Padma Shri in the year 2002. He has been awarded Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in 1998, Dr.Vikram Sarabhai Research Award for the year 1997, Millennium Medal at Indian Science Congress in the year 2000 and H. K. Firodia for "Excellence in Science & Technology" for the year 2002, Shri Om Prakash Bhasin Foundation Award for Science & Technology for the year 2004, Awarded Jawaharlal Nehru Birth Centenary Lecture Award by INSA for the year 2006, IBM Innovation and Leadership Forum Award by IBM for the year 2006, awarded Honorary Doctorate by the Institute of Blekinge Institute of Technology Sweden and Excellence in Science and Technology Award and recently awarded "Bharat Asmita Vigyaan - Tantragyaan Shresththa Award" for the best use of Science & Technology through Innovation by MIT Group of Institutions. He is a Fellow of World Wireless Research forum, IEEE and Indian academies including INAE, IAS, INSA and NAS.

Dr. Jhunjhunwala is a Director in the Board of State Bank of India, TTML, BEL, Polaris, 3i Infotech, Sasken, Tejas, IDRBT, Tata Communications and Exicom. He is member of Prime Minister's Scientific Advisory Committee.

Kris obtained M.Sc. (Physics) in 1977 and M. Tech. (Computer Science) in 1979, both from IIT, Madras. He started his career with Patni Computer Systems (PCS), Mumbai as a Software Engineer in 1979 and quickly rose to become an Assistant Project Manager by 1981. His seminal contribution during his stint at PCS was the development of a distributed process control system for controlling the LD converters at Rourkela Steel Plant.

In 1981, Kris, along with N.R. Narayana Murthy and five others, founded Infosys Technologies Limited. The initial years of his responsibility at Infosys included management of design, development, implementation and support of information systems for clients in the consumer products industry in the US. During 1987-1994 he headed the technical operations of KSA/Infosys (a joint venture between Infosys and KSA at Atlanta, USA) as Vice President (Technical). In 1994, Kris returned to India and was appointed Deputy Managing Director of the company. Kris previously served as Chief Operating Officer (since April 2002) and as the President and Joint Managing Director (since August 2006). His responsibilities included Customer Services, Technology, Investments and Acquisitions. On 22nd June 2007, Kris took over as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Infosys Technologies Limited.

Kris is currently the Chairman of Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM), Kerala, and Vice Chairman of the Information Technology Education Standards Board (BITES) set up by Karnataka Government. Kris is the Vice Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industries(CII) Southern Regional Council. He is also a member of ACM, IEEE and IEEE Computer Society.

An IIT (Madras) metallurgical engineer B.Muthuraman joined the Tata Steel in 1966 as a graduate trainee. On completion of training, he worked in the areas of Iron-making and Engineering Development for 10 years. In 1975, he got his MBA degree from the XLRI, Jamshedpur. He was moved to the Marketing & Sales Division and spent nearly 20 years in the area ultimately rising to the level of Vice President. In 1995 he was selected to spearhead the prestigious Cold Rolling Mill Project, which was finally completed in record time. He was appointed Executive Director (Special Projects) in 2000 and served as the main change agent for the major diversification projects of Tata Steel before being its Managing Director in 2001.

During his career in Tata Steel, B.Muthuraman held several senior posts as Chairman of Tata Sponge, TM International Logistics Ltd, Tinplate Company of India Ltd, Director, Tata Incorporated, New York, International Iron & Steel Institute, Brussels, Chairman, Natsteel Asia Pte Ltd. & Natsteel Asia (S) Pte.Ltd., Singapore, Director, Tata Industries Ltd., Mumbai., Chairman, Tata Steel KZN (Pty).Ltd, South Africa. In 2006, The United Nations appointed B.Muthuraman, along with a group of 19 business leaders from around the world to serve on the Board of the UN Global Compact. It is a rare honor for any CEO in the country.

B.Muthuraman is on the Board of Governors, XLRI, Jamshedpur, President of The Indian Institute of Metals and The Research Council of National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur. He is also a Member of the Board of Governors of IIT, Kharagpur and Director on the Board of CEDEP, France.

B.Muthuraman got Tata Gold Medal, Indian Institute of Metals (2002), CEO of the Year Award, IIMM (2002), National HRD Network Pathfinders Award (2004), CEO of the Year (2005) by Business Standard, CEO with HR Orientation Award (2005) and best CEO by World HRD Congress in 2006.

Previously he was Executive Director of the Passenger Car Business as well as the Engineering Research Centre, Tata Motors Limited. Prior to that, Dr Sumantran had spent 16 years with General Motors Corporation, mostly in the US and subsequently in Europe. He has served as President of the Automotive Research Association of India, and Co-Chairman of the Engineering Services Forum of NASSCOM.

Dr Sumantran holds a Doctorate degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Master's degree in Management of Technology. He is a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers and a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineers.

His other appointments include an Adjunct Professorship at the Department of Biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, and a visiting faculty position at the Department for Molecular Medicine at the Karolinska Institute, Sweden. He is a also a member of the governing and Scientific advisory boards of the DBT-ICT Center for Energy Biosciences at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai.

Shrikumar is the inventor of a patented novel Bioreactor which received the the 2001 Biotechnology Process Development award of the government of India. He is also a recipient of the 2009 Distinguished Alumnus Award of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

After finishing his undergraduate studies in Chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Shrikumar specialized in Biochemical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi joining Biocon Limited, in 1984, to startup their R&D division. Shrikumar was responsible for the development of many processes for industrial enzyme production and several fermentation based pharmaceutical small molecules and Biotherapeutics including monoclonal antibodies. He was also responsible for a program to develop a novel orally bioavailabe insulin analog (now in Phase 3 clinical trials) upto first in man studies. During his tenure as Head of R&D at Biocon, the company grew from a small company manufacturing industrial enzymes to a specialized Biopharmaceutical company with market capitalization in excess of a billion dollars. He stepped down from his role of Biocon's President of Research and Development to contribute his experience to the development of Biotechnology industry and Biosciences research & education in India.

Mr. Viji serves on the Board of several Trusts formed for various philanthropic and medical activities. He is the Chairman of Worth Trust (Workshop for the Rehabilitation and Training of the Handicapped), an organisation founded in 1963 to impart vocational training and assist in the social and economic rehabilitation of all categories of persons with disabilities, and a Trustee of Sundaram Medical Foundation. He served as President of ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India, New Delhi) for two terms, viz. 1992-93 & 1993-94.

Mr. S Viji born on 7th June 1946, is a

• Bachelor in Commerce from the Madras University securing first rank (1965).
• Chartered Accountant having stood first in both the intermediate and final examinations securing the Kapadia silver and gold medals respectively.
• Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, USA obtaining First Rank and was awarded the Scholarship Gold Medal and elected to Beta Gamma Sigma.

the Auto Sector Research & Development, which was in a nascent stage, to a powerful product development organisation. Under his leadership, Mahindra & Mahindra launched a slew of new products such as Pik-Up, Marshal, Armada 98, Bolero and Loadking. His best acknowledged contribution is his leadership of the Scorpio project, which brought laurels to Mahindra & Mahindra, both in India and abroad. He became Executive Vice President - Product Development in September 2001, and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of the Automotive Sector in April 2003. In the capacity of Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Goenka has been responsible for day to day operations of the Automotive Sector. He has also played a key role in the formation of both the Renault and International Truck joint ventures. Dr. Goenka took over as President of the Automotive Sector on September 26th, 2005.

Dr. Goenka is an internationally acknowledged scientist - manager with several citations to his credit. He received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 2004 and is a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and of the Indian National Academy of Engineers. He has been honoured by General Motors through the Charles L. McCuen Achievement Award twice, and the Extraordinary Accomplishment Award. Dr. Goenka is a member of the SIAM Executive Council and Chairman of the Committee on Frontier Technologies. He is the President of SAE India and Chairman of the Management Board. He holds the positions of the Vice President of the ARAI Governing Council.

A Mechanical Engineer with a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Ph.D. from Cornell University, USA, Dr. Goenka has also done an Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at the Harvard Business School.

Under Sunil's leadership as CEO, Mastech was listed four times in Inc. Magazine's ranking of the fastest-growing companies in the United States. Mastech was also named among the "Top 100 Hot Growth" companies by Business Week and among the "Technology Fast 50" by Deloitte and Touche.

Sunil is an active angel investor. He has invested in over 20 early-stage companies and has served on the Boards of several of these ventures.

Sunil has written articles for a variety of publications including Datamation, Systems Integrator and Reader's Digest, and has been quoted in publications such as Business Week, the Wall Street Journal, Information Week and Investors Business Daily.

Sunil is a Distinguished Alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology and has a Master's degree from Carnegie-Mellon University.

previously Head of the Goldman Sachs's Equity Derivatives Division. Mr. Reddy first joined Goldman Sachs in 1990. Over his 12 year career at the firm, he was instrumental in building a successful derivatives team that was named Equity Derivatives House of the Year in 2000 by RISK magazine. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Reddy was the Chief Investment Officer of LOR Associates, a hedging and strategy advisory firm based in Los Angeles, California. Prior to joining LOR Associates, he worked for five years as Director of portfolio construction and asset allocation at Travelers Investment Management Company.

Mr. Reddy qualifies as an independent Director under the newly amended Nasdaq listing standards. He has been Director of Barra Inc. since November 2003. Mr. Reddy has published various research papers and is a frequent speaker at industry forums on the use of derivatives in traditional asset management. He has also served on the Boards of many charitable institutions including the Indian School of Business and the Indian American Policy Institute.

Mr. Reddy received his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in Electrical Engineering. He also earned a Masters in Engineering and an M.B.A. from Cornell University.

Prior to this, Mr. Naru worked for Procter & Gamble in the area of brand management in the USA and UK. He has also had manufacturing experience with VST Industries in Hyderabad. His academic qualification includes Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) from IIT, Madras and MBA (Finance) from University of Chicago. Mr. Naru has been a
past-secretary of the Indian Venture Capital Association, he is a member of the Investment Committees of UTI Ventures (Subsidiary of India's largest Mutual Fund Manager) and Avigo Ventures Dubai (sponsored by the Lord Bagri group of the UK), and the Agri-Business Incubator at ICRISAT, Hyderabad, is the Treasurer of ABLE (Association of Biotech Lead Enterprises), and has been a Past Committee member of the Andhra Pradesh Chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
