About Neomotion
NeoMotion is an IIT Madras incubated startup that offers life-transforming products for individuals with locomotor disabilities and wheelchair users. NeoFly and NeoBolt are its commercialized products available in the market. NeoFly is a fully customized wheelchair designed for better comfort, mobility, and higher maneuverability. NeoBolt serves as an add-on that converts NeoFly into a safe roadworthy vehicle that enables wheelchair users to travel outdoors in real environments.

Education for All
With over 100 users between the ages of 14-20, NeoMotion’s assistive technology supports meeting the education needs of a diverse group of youngsters with disabilities. By expanding accessibility using NeoFly & NeoBolt, their approaches towards life every day have been enriched, empowering them to achieve their maximum potential.
Asmit Khati, from Chandigarh, was persistent in continuing his education despite struggles. But this became an expensive affair as he had to ply cabs to school every day. With the help of NeoFly & NeoBolt since 2021, he has been able to independently attend classes, do part-time work, and earn as well. Today, he also enjoys being a guitarist in the ALL-Wheelchair- Music Band – Flowing Karma.
19-year-old Manoj Kumar is now a para-shooter representing the state in the National Para-Rifle shooting championships. His spinal cord injury in 2010 did not deter him from going to school or practicing the sport. However, traditional wheelchairs caused him shoulder pain and he had to rely on his family for support. With NeoBolt, he is now independently traveling to schools, training sessions, and meeting friends across Chennai. Manoj awaits to represent India in the Paralympic games and win laurels for the country.
The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment supported Gururaja from Virudhunangar in Tamil Nadu to get NeoFly & NeoBolt. Gururaja is now able to move freely from class to class between periods. He no longer misses classes or relies on his family to reach school. He goes to school every day and is surrounded by his friends with smiles.
After using Neomotion, 14-year-old Vaishnavi says, “I am more confident today. Instead of staying at home, I can go to school and meet my friends.” Previously she had to be carried to classes and needed help during recess and lunch break. Now she covers the distance independently.
Jayakumar spent countless hours in IIT Madras labs testing and providing feedback on the NeoMotion products. He helped customise the NeoFly & NeoBolt to be suitable for children with spinal cord injuries. With the help of the NeoFly wheelchair, Jayakumar now embraces his disability with seamless movement at his will.
16-year-old Utsav spends more time outdoors, meets his friends, and goes to examination centers with the help of NeoFly. He is no longer confined to his room and is overcoming his depression by relaxing and spending more time with his friends. Utsav is also learning to play the guitar in his free time.
